When students enter Middle Kids they are exposed to homework, officially, for the first time. While we don’t believe that children at this age should be bogged down with hours of homework each night, we do see value in learning to manage responsibilities. We don’t assign excessive “busy work” and all homework is designed to enhance and reinforce learning done at school. Homework might include:
- Reading to a parent, or being read to
- Practicing spelling words
- Writing and practicing a recitation
- Practicing Mad Minute math facts
