National Banned Books Week: September 30-October 6, 2012

Seventeen Older Kids applied this semester to become Library Mentors and assist in the library. We are thrilled to have their help! Library Mentors learn to be effective users of the library; from categorizing and organizing books according to the Dewey Decimal system, to learning our on-line catalog in more depth.

In addition to shelving books and keeping the library organized and user-friendly; Mentors will assist other students in finding just the right book. These great kiddos will also assist with book fairs and our annual used book sale.

Look for Library Mentors’ favorite book posters around the library. And feel free to ask a Mentor to help you find a good book!
