Individualized Academic Education is about respect for the learner and the concept of appropriate challenge for each individual. When students are challenged at their appropriate level, they become more engaged with their learning experiences. Rivendell’s specially designed curriculum allows students to progress through Reading, Writing, and Mathematics at their own pace. Teachers offer support to small groups or individuals as needed in order to go deeper into concepts and understanding. Individualized education focuses on mastery of concepts as students progress.
